The Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce announced its Board of Directors has appointed David Carroll as the organization’s next executive director. Carroll will start in the new position early April succeeding Randy Penn, who has held the post for the past four years.
“We want to thank Randy for his service over the last four years. During his tenure, programming and membership has grown significantly” Nancy Byers, President of the Board, said. “Today we are thrilled to welcome David as the new Executive Director and look forward to his leadership as we transition into the next phase of our organizational life”
Carroll holds an MBA in nonprofit management from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Colorado State University. He has extensive experience in membership programs and social media marketing. After recently moving back to the area, he has been active in the community as a previous trustee of the Englewood Historic and Preservation Society; current Chair of the Englewood Cultural Art Commission and founding member of Friends of Jason Park.
“I’m grateful to the board for the opportunity to lead this important organization and work in such a strong and proud community.” Carroll said. “I’m looking forward to getting to know the members, volunteers and partners as we look to take the Chamber to the next level.”
Englewood is a unique community with a deep history of service. The business community is diverse, and the chamber’s mission includes connecting, promoting and strengthening businesses to enhance the community’s economic vitality and quality of life.
